Rhinestone Cockers began in 1985 when I bred my black pet bitch to a tri male that Eli-Fran kennels had produced. The litter produced a tri male (Rhinestone's Rebel CDX), who, when 6 months old, won his class at a local cocker club fun match. That was all it took for me to get hooked. In the years since then I've moved from East Moline, IL, to Indianapolis, IN, to Guin, AL, where I now live with my husband, and our two children.

Today, we are small, home based and breed with the intention of producing our next show quality dog. However, not all dogs are show quality, which allows us to offer puppies as family companions. All of our puppies sold as companions, are placed with a spay/neuter agreement and registered with AKC on limited registration. We do not sell puppies to be used strictly for breeding purposes, and make every effort to insure our babies don't end up in such a situation.

The goal of Rhinestone Cockers is to breed top quality Cocker Spaniels according to our breed standard, with an emphasis on good health, merry temperament, and sound body. We health test all of our Cockers that will reproduce with yearly eye exams (CERF), DNA testing for prcd PRA, Complete Thyroid panels done by Michigan State University, and by x-raying hips for dysplasia and registering results with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).

Occasionally we have adults and/or puppies available to qualified homes. Young adults that are offered will be spay/neutered prior to being adopted. We take the placement of our dogs very seriously and seek a forever home for each one offered; therefore prospective buyers are carefully screened.
